You Got It Together?

How many dad’s or mom’s out there can relate to getting up late on Sunday morning? That sudden sense of panic that runs through you as you realize that the alarm was not set, you stayed up way to late and church starts in 45 minutes! Three kids and two adults have to be ready to leave the house in 25 minutes so you can speed to church in 20 minutes.

Yeah, I think that we all have experienced this moment before. You walk in with seconds to spare and everyone thinks “Wow, they have it together. Wish I could be like that.” But, let’s look at how that more than likely goes…

There are times when it seems like everything in the world is trying to stop us. But when it comes down to it, I see it as our attitude that stops us. We get upset when we are late or we get mad when someone else can not hear our brain waves telling them what to do and we get down and lash out when we do not prepare. What we need to remember when it all starts to build up is this

Ephesians 4:31-32

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
31 All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. 32 And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you[a] in Christ.

So, when Sunday rolls back around, try to remember this and take a deep breath and just be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another. Then you may be on the track to having it all together.
