Guys the time is drawing even closer than the first time that I mentioned this to you. The 2014 Teach Them Diligently Conventions are coming closer! I know that you are thinking, “Steve, come on man, I have plenty of time to sign up.” Well let’s just see how much time is left.
It’s October 2013 as of now. There will be 5 more months till the Nashville TN. convention on March 20-22. Two of these months will be occupied with every family event known to man during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes, it Christmas! Not Happy Holidays, or Season’s Greetings! (more on that later on this year.) If you are even more lucky like me, I get to pay property tax in December. I guess my county also wants a Christmas present from me each year. After those two months of November and December go by, you will be spending money on paying off the items that you bought for your family during Christmas. This can easily last for 2 or three months. So after the fun with family, taxes, and trying to pay off what you bought, you suddenly turn around and the 5 months are gone! It’s March 2014 and your wife makes a somewhat off-hand comment that it would be nice to go to a conference or convention that she has heard about. Your mind races back to this day when I warned you that it was closer than you think.
Don’t worry though, I won’t rub it in (to hard). There are other events in April, May and June of 2014 in Spartanburg SC., Washington D.C., and Dallas Tx. respectively. But I warn you now, don’t let your mind slip off into a lulled state of “I got time”. Take the initiative and surprise your wife with taking her and the family to a Teach Them Diligently Convention next year. And yes, I said the family! There is a great program just for the kids to enjoy and get ministered to as well.
You just may that knight in shining armor that you wife needs by taking care of this opportunity for her.
