How Are You Living?

How Are You Living?

I was invited to eat with a group of men tonight that will be speaking, attending or serving in some capacity with the “Why Me?” men’s conference in Thomaston, Georgia next Friday and Saturday. After one delicious low country boil, the men made their way down to the dock at the lake. As 14 decent sized men eased out onto this weathered dock we felt the shifts of age and the creep of time on the structure.

Trying To Get The Grill Going?

This weekend there have been and will be many guys out there trying to get the grill going. Inevitably there will be those who can simply look at the grill and the flames leap to life and then there are those of us, who do everything according to the instructions and still do not get…

What are you digging’ up?

Many times we as men will let something go when we have a disagreement with someone. I think many times to myself, “Be a duck…be a duck…just let it roll off your back and move on”. The Next Generation ~ Part 2 of 2

The Next Generation

One generation will declare Your works to the next
and will proclaim Your mighty acts.
Psalms 145:4 HCSB

This past Sunday I had the privilege of being able to step into the pulpit of my home church during the 11:00 service and deliver a message that God has laid upon my heart for a long time now. I was talking about “The Next Generation”. Those who will follow after us, are watching us and are trusting us to do what is right.

I had to break the sermon into two parts due to the length of the podcast. Part one is available and should be listened to first.

If you want to watch the message in its entirety, click on the link.

Dad, Know Your Power

Dad, Know Your Power!

So when he attempted something and he did not see it doing any good, he quit. He did not see that the responsibility he was given was important and how it effected everything else that was being done at that time. This in turn made others who were performing there task in a responsible manner look down on him and his self-esteem plummeted.
